Smart Pitch Counting and Tracking
Trackr is the first all digital pitch counter and calendaring wearable designed for young athletes that makes following league guidelines easy and helps plan your game days and rest days.
According to a 2011 study by researchers at the University of North Carolina commissioned by Little League, its pitch count program appears to be working, reducing the risk of shoulder injury among pitchers in Little League Baseball (ages 8 to 13) by 50 percent.

A Letter From Our Founder
Why Is This Important?
As a sports medicine physician, it's inevitable that each year I will see 20-30 young athletes and their parents coming through my office with a sports injury that could have been prevented. Unfortunately, many parents, coaches, and athletes don't have the right resources to help prevent those type of over-use injuries. Currently, there are increasing numbers of kids getting Tommy John surgery for arm overuse injuries due to pitching. As a mom of two teenagers, I understand that kids just want to play! They don't want to be limited. But I also know that we want to keep our kids safe. That's when the idea for Trackr came to my mind. It shouldn't have to be so hard to keep track of how many times your athlete is pitching; plus, some arm health experts have put together guidelines that will help reduce arm overuse injuries, called the MLB Pitch Smart Guidelines.
This device and mobile app would help keep track of your athlete's pitch count during practice, games, and play. It automatically syncs with the guidelines based on your player's age and creates an easy-to-use calendar for peak performance and rest days, taking the guess work out of it all.
